Success at the IMC19: demonstrations, discussions and future plans

20180910_182115

The 19th International Microscopy Congress, the biggest microscopy event of the year, finished last week, and it was a great success for Delmic!

Five members of our team visited Sydney to perform live demonstrations of the SPARC and SECOM, give scientific presentations and have discussions with prospective customers.

Over the course of four exhibition days, Delmic's stand attracted a lot of visitors, who were eager to know more about our correlative microscopy and cathodoluminescence solutions. Almost all of the time slots for the demonstrations were pre-booked before the IMC19, and the last few spots were booked during the event. During the exhibition days, we had 27 demonstrations of our systems in total: 13 demonstrations of the SECOM and 14 demonstrations of the SPARC. A 100% attendance for the pre-booked demonstrations showed a great interest in the systems.

Our prospective customers came from the leading scientific universities and institutes of Australia, USA, Canada, Germany, Finland, China, India, and Italy. The focus of their research ranged from structural biology, cell tissue and parasitology to materials science, plasmonics and semiconductors.

The AXT coffee corner, the result of collaboration between Delmic, TESCAN, DENSsolutions, Fischione Instruments, Kleindiek Nanotechnik and Nanopsis, served almost 1500 coffees to researchers to help them stay focused and engaged.

It was a unique opportunity to show our products to a large and highly international audience and discuss exciting current and future developments directly with many of our existing and prospective customers. We enjoyed a very well balanced combination of high-level scientific talk and a well-organized and very well-attended exhibition.

We are looking forward to the upcoming events. If you would like to stay updated and be the first to know about our workshops, webinars and the conferences we visit, make sure to subscribe to our events newsletter.
