We are very proud to announce that one of our collaborators, Prof. Albert Polman, has been elected the winner of the 2017 EPS QEOD prize for Research into the Science of Light. The Science of Light Prize is a prestigious award that is awarded biannually by the Quantum Electronics and Optics division (QEOD) of the European Physical Society.
Prof. Polman received the prize for "mastering light at the nanoscale and for demonstrating novel applications in nanoscale optical circuits, photovoltaics, and super-resolution imaging". The prize will be awarded at the 6th International Topical Meeting on Nanophotonics and Metamaterials (Nanometa) which will also be attended by our own application specialist Dr. Toon Coenen. Further details about the Science of Light prize can be found here.
