Sample preparation in electron microscopy: from bottleneck to automated process
Sample preparation is crucial in electron microscopy (EM), as it influences the final data as much or maybe even more than the quality of the electron microscope. Due to its time-consuming nature, it is often seen as a bottleneck in high throughput EM of biological samples. In this post, sample preparation for EM is explained and several possible solutions are given to automate and speed up this process.
